Lake Jackson Tallahassee Clean Up

Postby bbbb » Wed Mar 06, 2013 10:53 am

I don't know many of these guys, but they are trying to make a difference on one of our local lakes, so I'll be there to help out.

From another site(www.southernairboats.com). They are looking for other forums to help out, so I'll be posting this on a few other sites.

Guys and Gals,
It is time to make a positive presence in the Tallahassee Area and Lake Jackson just so happens to be full of garbage. This would be a great opportunity for us to make a positive impact on our community as well as clean up one of our favorite places to ride. I am starting this thread to look for ideas and take input. We are going to tentatively schedule it for May 4th. I want to reach out to the airboat community and see what kind of participation we are going to get before going all out so please let me know (on here) whether you can come and how many will be coming with you. Also, pass the word to anyone that you know does not visit SA. And if you normally don't voice your opinion on the open forum, that is fine. Just shoot me a PM. I hope this turns out to be successful!

This is what I am thinking:
When:
Sat. May 4th
Where:
County Ramp on Hwy 27
Start time:
1200 (for those folks traveling)
Meet/Greet/ drool over boats
Cook what you bring. We will provide the fire (grill)
1400-till
clean up- In and around lake. (I will inquire about ATVs)

joey deluca and i talked with FWC he was comin out of the lake we told him what u have planed for the clean up he wants to help with the dumpsters he wants you to contact the paper and news channel if u would like to contact me and ill give u his name and number hope this helps maybe u have it all set up already was just tryin to help i seen u say u were gonna ask the county for dumpsters ......when i talk to u ill give u the reason why he wants u to contact the paper and news channel

We did this last spring on Imonia with the help of fwc, some county guys, and volunteers. Picked up over 1,200 lbs if memory serves me right. I'm definitely in. Time to lead by example fellas

Can we get a report? How did it turn out?
