60 days out.....ish

Postby lovetheduck » Mon Jul 15, 2013 2:27 pm

Alright yall we are about 60 days put from teal shoots, I know I still have to float my hybrid and build a front shutter for it, some ammo in the case would be nice to. Everything else is hopefully good, I haven't unpacked it since february but hopefully I'm good. What about everyone else?

I'm six months behind. Hopefully in two weeks I will be able to get all my gear together and begin working on everything. Most of my prep is looking to take place during the first split between teal and first phase

My focus has been on fishing lately. I painted some decoys about a month ago, but other than that its been quiet. Need to start scouting water since there isn't much around me now.

Jist moved into the Melbourne area from VA. Brought my hunting stuff down and hope to try the Teal but am not expecting much...expect it will take a while to figure out the area and I doubt I'll be ready for first split.

Well i will be on deployment for the entire hunting season, so there should be plenty of ducks for you guys to shoot at. Good thing i am missing the season because i have still not had time to repair the hole in the nose of my hybrid from it getting knocked over.So good luck to you guys this season.

Took the boat to Paul Dixon up in bainbridge today to have some work done on seals and shaft and get a new propeller put on. Just a waiting game at this point. All my gear stays in ready condition year around.

Was riding around some lakes the other day doing some really early preseason scouting and hit a kind of speed bump... Literally

Been there, done that. Although memorable, it wasn't enjoyable.
