Well I'am about ready to kick off my first hunt in Florida! Are there any last min. things I need to know about the river? I'll be hunting somewhere Around the lake monroe area. I plan on scouting before this weekend if the darn paint ever dries on my boat!!!!
I'm open to any helpfull hints that anyone can offer!
Thanks, Matt

Well the north side of the lake around stone island and the goverment cut going out of the lake up sream are bird refuges so don't hunt there. Most of the area on the northeast side is owned by the water management district. You can hunt theses marshes up to the little white and blue district signs.

Hey SS. Are you going to do any more scouting before the opener? Maybe I could hitch a ride and you could show me where NOT to go. I really don't need a ticket on my first FL hunt!
Thanks, Matt

Fence posts

I don't know about Lake Monroe area but by the 46 bridge there are a lot of fence post. I would check for anything that might kill me or sink my boat when I am running out in the morning.
