Appalachicola River

Anyone ever hunt the Appalachicola River? Guy told me at a DU banquet that they kill all kinds of ducks down there including some pintails.

I have hunted there the past 3 years, and I won't be going back. The ducks just were not there. You would see 2 or 3 going mach 1 down the river but that was about it. I camped at Mack's Landing (which is very nice by the way) and followed the river til it forked. If you take the left fork it goes wayyyy on back and you can find some areas to get into to find the woodies. Going to give Lake Orange a try this year and see what happens. Good luck to you
