You know its going to be a good day when you have 15 + birds in the decoys at 2 minutes till shooting time. We had 2 limits in 8 minutes this morning despite my buddy falling out of the Gheenoe when he fired his first shot. There were birds wanting to get in the decoys everywhere this morning. We ended up with 1 bluewing teal,1 shovler, 1 buebill. and 9 ringers. It was the best hunt of the year.

We were at the marsh. I scouted the river yesterday afternoon and only saw a few teal and mottles and a bunch of hooded mergs.

but I may need to go back to my honey hole Sunday as well. - for that matter, Winston you could join me then.

This is a secret spot that I didnt even tell my father in law about untill this year.

thanks for the info

with my new 14ft with 25hp honda mud buddy... it dont matter.

you wount see me at Hatbill scootin out in that little boat again.... remember?

you probably had a good laugh - espessially when I said that I didnt want to go out to the spot you told me about on Laughlin cause I said it would take till past shooting time to get there. With my new rig, that wount be an issue.

all good. Im going to the river Friday Moring, north end of Jessup. I cant wait another day to take the boat out. I got the front seat in, fixed tail lights, put on the numbers, and loaded up the grass and decoys. Its sitting along side the house waiting.

By the way, the stern light fixture must be broken - new bulb but still no light. I have a battery op one in the dry box.
