Treasure Coast Flats Circuit Inc.
February 2007 newsletter
First off, the TCF Circuit would like to cordially thank EVERYONE for signing up for the newsletter and becoming a member of the east coasts only inshore flats circuit!
Lots of things to discuss in this months newsletter, so here it goes!
Don’t forget to “get registered” as a TCF Circuit member! It’s $50.00 for the adults and only $20.00 for the juniors. Get registered soon so we can get your name posted on the website. That way, we’ll be able to post your first tournament results ASAP! Register online on the main page of the circuit website! www.tcfcircuit.com
The first tournament is “on us”!
Yes! You get to fish for free at the TCF Circuit’s inaugural tournament, which is proudly called the “free for all” inshore tournament. ALL registered members of the TCF Circuit are fishing for free in this one! The categories are Snook, Trout & Redfish for the adult anglers, along with Jack Crevalle, Ladyfish & Sheepshead for the junior anglers. The tournament will be held at The Captain & The Cowboy Steak & Seafood Grill in Sebastian. The adult angler winners payouts are- $500.00 for the three 1st place winners; $250.00 for the three 2nd place winners; $125.00 for the three 3rd place winners! And here’s the best part… The slam is $1,000.00 for the one who brings in all three species with the combined heaviest weight! For the juniors, 1st place gets a rod & reel (and it’s not a K-Mart setup…) and the 2nd place winners get a cast net! Mark your calendars for February 23rd and 24th, 2007… Check out all of the info by going to - http://tcfcircuit.com/freeforalltournament.htm
The second one has a kick to it…
The second tournament is the TCF Circuit’s “Artificial Only” tournament. NO LIVE BAIT is the theme in this one. If you don’t use live bait, you’ll feel right at home in this one! If you are a faithful live baiter, don’t worry! Ask me and I’ll tell you where the big ones are being caught the weekend before on the television show The Indian River Area Fishing Report and on their website- www.irafr.com March 23rd is the registration & Captains Meeting, once again at The Captain & The Cowboy Steak & Seafood Grill in Sebastian. March 24th is the tournament day… Once again, a large payout is scheduled & you’re eligible for TCF Circuit points! For all of this tournaments info, go to - http://tcfcircuit.com/artificialonly.htm
Riverside Café in Vero Beach is having a tournament!
Riverside Café in Vero Beach will be hosting an inshore tournament in 2007! Mark your calendars on June 29th for the registration & the Captains Meeting, with the fishing day on June 30th. The Vero Beach area has some pristine waters to get some inshore fishing time in, so don’t miss out on this one! It’s $30.00 for the adults to enter and KIDS FISH FREE! Brian at Vero Tackle is a co-sponsor of Riversides first tournament. Yes, Snook is closed during that time of the year, but still there is great opportunity to boost your points in the Trout & Redfish categories if you’re one of the “Snookahaulics” that are out there! For all of the info, go to - http://tcfcircuit.com/riversidecafe.htm
Guaranteed end-of-season payouts!
The TCF Circuit has obtained great sponsorship from many corporations and small business owners that enabled us to GUARANTEE the prize payouts to all of the winners at the end of the season! Please make sure that YOU, yes you, support them. If it weren’t for them, we wouldn’t be here for YOU to enjoy!
The Captain and the Cowboy Steak & Seafood Grill felt the circuit was a cutting edge plan for the Treasure Coast area! They became a major sponsor and asked if the TCF Circuit would consider them as “home base” for all TCF-run tournaments, which we graciously agreed! The food is fabulous, so go and try them out on your next date night, or with family, friends, or business! True Black Angus beef is served, along with the best seafood available. In my book, they’re “definitely a winner for lunch and dinner!”
Evinrude realized that we are starting a “new era” on the east coast and decided to help us step it up for the participants with their sponsorship! The E-Tec is a revolutionary new propulsion system for your boat. E-Tec outboards require no scheduled dealer maintenance for the first 3 years or 300 hours of normal recreational use! We’ll have a Blazer Bay “22 Professional” powered with an E-Tec 225hp at all of the tournaments for free test rides, so leave your pink undies at home, please…
Boats-N-Motors in Vero Beach became a Gold Sponsor of the circuit because they believed in our concept of the circuit, which is “to do all you can for the people that support you.” –And that includes you! Hey, the first tournament is on us, remember! Boats-N-Motors is a “box dealer” for the Evinrude E-Tec. So when you are going to replace your motor or looking for a new or used boat, check them out!
JC’s Indian River Fishing Charters in Sebastian was next up to bat. Captain J.C. Henderson helped us out by covering the junior angler payouts at the end of the season and has guaranteed the $1,000.00 payout in the fish off! JC also tossed in the trips for the 1st place junior angler winners that they get at the end of the season! Also, when you have family or friends down here visiting, set them up with a trip of a lifetime on the water with Captain JC!
Thanks also go out to CAMPBELL ROOFING & SHEETMETAL, PAKA RODS, “JUSTBUMMINIT” GUIDE SERVICE & RIVER TOURS, FLORIDA HIWAY & MARINE INSURANCE, and the INDIAN RIVER AREA FISHING REPORT!
Without these sponsors participation, there would be no Treasure Coast Flats Circuit!
Remember, get registered and we’ll see you February 23rd for the first tournament! ALL who have registered and have not sent in your registration payment must pay their member fee at the first tournament before registering!
