I'll be home on leave this weekend leading up until Christmas Eve just south of Jacksonville near Guana how are things looking down there? I'll be out with my buddy and its been a number of years since I have had the chance to hunt down there so any advice or places to look is greatly appreciated!

Yep , better get there early . In fact plan on camping in your truck , those permits go fast . 100 permits are gone by 3am from what I've been told . I have not hunted there this year due to the mad house effect there . Been making the haul too Lake George that's not so bad . Good luck and enjoy your leave

I knew Guana was bad on opening day but I didn't know it was a standard now. Guess thats what happens when duck dynasty sweeps the nation...My buddy is bringing his boat down and I'll have my decoys as well. My parents house backs up to the very north end of the lake and almost thinking about borrowing a canoe grabbing a pass and heading back down an getting in the water there instead of trying to fight everyone at the ramp to get to a good spot. What are they killing out there this year? thanks for the advice!

Hey , talked too my friend this morning . Trey said that the people have thin out . So that's the good news . The bad , said the ducks haven't been in there real good . Maybe you will get lucky on the day you go . Good luck !
They don't seem to be around anywhere.
