Gander opened a new store in St. Augustine in the past week or two.

Anyone been in it yet?

Cookie Cutter stores based on shopping trends in the Midwest. I hope they wisen up soon and carry region specific gear.

I dont think they will get it together. I have delt with the managment there - and I know some one who works there.

It is convienently a 3min drive away though, so I cant complain to much.
they have gotten some of my money.

their shinners die after an hour and a half.

I didn't see any deeks in the store. Did get some archery stuff though. Pretty good selection of broadheads.

The GMs up north are more oriented correctly to the area. For example in Wisconsin, they don't carry the lightweight bug clothing, but do carry the 100% blaze insulated clothes which is what the regulations suggest you wear deer hunting. And many people do. Same goes for the Minnisota stores I've been to.

I didn't see any heavy jackets in this St. Augustine store so they are not too off base. The Lake Mary store did have a ton of honker deeks though, how dumb is that?

 Probably not! I used to work for sports authority when the did carry some hunting gear. It was like pulling teeth to get them to change anything. Still kept sending T shot , BBB, 300 mags. yeh! boxes were sold old they falling apart! But never stocked snow ski gear but everyone kept asking for it. Go figure

I was in Gander in Lake Mary friday night and they are getting in all of their duck again. Lots of dekes and waders and all kinds of duck stuff. Not much for ammo yet but atleast somebody there seems to be listening to the customers.
