I'd say anywhere on the st. johns river marsh. you'd have lots of different hunting opportunities there.

I suppose I say that cause I like the swamp

I wou;d say lake Okeecobee, parden my spelling. It seems that they consistently get large amounts of waterfowl down there. Up here on the St. Johns the water level plays a huge part in getting birds to stay here. Then when we do get some good habitat is seems like they come in and nuke it with weed killer about the time the hunting gets good.

I have thought about lake O, but very it has very little, if any lakefron..mostly canal. If I am going to spend the money my wife wants something lakefront with a view. I lived my whole life in FL but never been on the St. Johns...I'll have to take a drive up and look around.

Most of the cabins on the river have been replaced with multi-million dollar houses around this area. The St. Johns is a popular place. Good luck with your search.

Lake Rowell and Samson in Starke. Not alot of houses and really good hunting.
