Ok so ive been on this forum awhile now....i just realized i have not introduced myself  however my name is Shane ive been hunting most of my life. I grew up in Tallahassee hunting sukee, jackson, and lafayette. Recently moved to pensacola. I have a chocolate lab (bailey) and a project boat and my trusty duck boat is a pair of lacrosse waders. So far season has been only ringers and woodies im looking for a little variety in my hunting adventures ive shot mainly woodies and ringers have shot buffies, bluebills, redheads, 1 canvas back (last year) teal and i am on a major quest to bag my first greenhead and my first band other than that i love fishing and hunting and enjoying the outdoors .

Just noticed this thread, so thought I'd intro. myself.
I am fairly new to duck hunting. Went for the first time in 2004. I was an avid quail hunter when I lived in Missouri. I did not know anyone that duck hunted up there. Met a person here in FL. who was addicted to duck hunting and since there are no wild birds (quail) to speak of, I teamed up with him. Now I'm addicted also. I have trained bird dogs all my life off and on, but never a retriever. We went to a DU event in 2004 and they had some labs there working. I watched in amazement and said, "I can do that and that would be really fun." Bought my first lab out of Ten. after much research. Grand Sir on Sirs side is Rebel With a Cause, Grand Sir on Dams side is Cosmo. Both Sir and Dam are MH and hunt most days out of the year. Said, that's the one for me! Now 3 years later, Missy is an HRCH (got that at 2) and 4 passes in a row on her MH...1 to go. It has been fun training my first lab and having the success in the boat and in the test!

Hello everyone, my name is Alex and I am a duckaholic. I think its in the genes cuz my boys are duckaholic also. They are only 9 and 10 years old. I make a living as a veterinarian, but I love hunting and fishing. I enjoy deer/hog hunting..but......I Love duck hunting. I have only been duck hunting for 5 years, my brother got me hooked. I took the boys out this past season for the first time and all I gotta say is that the experience was priceless. My boys are drinking the KOOL AID. I just bought our own duck boat (04 grizzly 1754 blind duck edition, 60 merc, avery grass blind). Since I've only hunted with my brother on his boat, we pretty much stuck around the same lakes (Kissimmee, toho, rosalie, pierce). Now that I got my own boat, I would like to explore other lakes such as the big O, orange lake, merrit island etc. So this summer we are hitting other destinations with our new duck boat for pre-season lake aquaintance/gps mapping. I live in Port Charlotte, so I gotta check out the duck situation in the harbor. I would love to hear from anyone who has hunted the port charlotte, peace river, punta gorda, pine island area.
Hunting with my kids is priceless.
Hunting with my wife is......another story.

Hi I'm Joe. I have been visiting this website for quite awhile now, but just finally decided to register. I live out in Idaho now, but am a native Floridian. I was born in Hosford and grew up, hunting and fishing, in both south GA and north FL, where I still have family. When I make it down there it's usually not to hunt anymore, but it's fun to visit the FL and GA state forums hear you all talking about hunting places I've heard of or have hunted myself. Thanks for taking me along.
