Florida Boat Builders

Postby Fowlplay13 » Thu Feb 06, 2014 7:20 am

I am wondering if any of you guys know of a aluminum boat builder in the N FL. or S. Georgia area. I know about prodigy boats in Jasper, GA but was hoping someone might know of another. I remember reading on a forum that there was one in Quincy, FL but can not find that page again or any more information. Any help is greatly appreciated, also, if you do know of one that is not in the area specified but is still in FL please let me know.

Thanks!

idk about quincy, you may be thinking of extreme boats in Bonifay which is more west of quincy on i-10 they build a pretty nice boat. Chad at prodigy is in the process of building me a hull right now.

North,
Like I said I couldn't find the page again so I could be wrong about the whole Quincy thing, but I have seen extreme boats in Bonifay as that is where my old Guard unit is located. I have been looking at Prodigy but just wanted to see what my other options were as well.

Whaknstak,

I remember seeing Scandy before, but can not find anything on Potter.

go with GTR or prodrive, and thank me later when you need the reverse. The boat im building is a 1748. have you checked out any other custom mud hull builders out of la? extreme metal fab, Uncle J, Willets Welding, Instagator boats, Southfork, Geaux Customs, and the list goes on and on.. i know your trying to find one in fl, but you should check some of these guys out they build some nice boats.

dont matter who builds it, an 1856 or 1860 you'll have 5 or 6 grand in the hull before you do anything to it. rigged probably around 9/10.

No one in Quincy I am aware of. I have a Scandy. it is a tank. Potterbuilt is also top of the line. With either one, if you dream it, they can build it;

I have a scandy. You couldn't dent it with a hammer
