Yea I'm new on here but it seems that people don't really report their hunting trips very much. I mean I see some great pics which are great just curious as to the timing of your hunt. I don't need places to hunt I usually go to duck pub, sta's, or 512 and puddle jump birds in psl. I mean honey holes must be private land anyway now that season starting just looking for daily reports. I guess I'm CYBER scouting the whole state lol. Good hunting and have a great day.
Mornings mostly . Have done alitlle evening hunt that was good . Sometimes if it's a long drive , morning hunt then fish the late morning into the afternoon . If didn't get my limit , and notice that birds are working in the area . Will set up that late hunt too .
Hey that was great to see at least half a dozen hunters respond got say you got me on using the word timing. Now that we now we love the morning I was just looking to see daily reports of how well you all did that day. Good luck to all and great times looks like its going to get cool out.
A buddy scouted a new to us lake for us Friday and there were thousands of of ducks. We got up stupid early and went, knowing it's one of the more popular lakes in the area. Ducks buzzed our decoys way before legal light but once it got to legal time we watch wave after wave of ducks come off the other side of the lake, fly straight up, and go over us and never even looked twice. We ended up killing two. There were two other boats 300+ yards away and one never fired a shot and the other might have shot a dozen times. It was like the past two weeks season was closed people had been shooting it.
That's because every moron has shot at those birds from 50yds out to 200yds and they are knowed up to the game be sure to thank your local skybusting chapter next time you see them yes 50 yards is still to far
Blew a trailer bearing, lost the grease cap couldn't find replacement anywhere.
Mud motor choke valve broke off and I think messed up the fuel pump.
Broke the stern light for the 15th time.
Nail in passenger rear tire.
Shot one mottled and lost it in the marsh, looked over an hour and a half.
Shot one hen shoveler.
Coonrod , I don't recall you being in our boat/truck, but that sounds a lot like last weekend with my brother in law.
Broke the stern light for at least the 15th time, not sure I can super glue the super glue back together any more
Life Jackets apparently blew out somewhere down the highway, even though we have strapped them down that way 100 times
Winch handle - gone... How does that even happen?
Cables to electric start on mudmotor got caught in hinge and shorted out, electrical fire ensued en route to our spot
Shot a few ringers
one unfortunate cripple played diver-whack-a -mole with me for about 30 minutes before he just stopped coming up altogether
Still great to be out there, but...hoping next weekend is a little smoother...
Saw 3 or 4 orange ones on 295 North just past the Merrill rd exit on Saturday coming back from my hunt...not sure if they were yours.
