Good Hunt

Postby djchris » Mon Dec 28, 2009 4:30 pm

Had a pretty good hunt in carrollton this past sunday morning.....2 drake and a hen(mallards) and a ringer. The two fellows across the lake got 2 i think. got lucky and secured a private place to shoot some geese......but I have to admit, I'm getting a little tired of going solo. Anyone interested in gettin' together for a hunt....i've got a few locations to pick from, carrollton, oglethorpe county, lake lanier.....i hear lula bridge has been producing some good woodie action....sorry, don't have a boat. Hope each of you have enjoyed the Christmas holiday and wish ya'll a Happy New Year!!

I don't believe the reports on lula bridge are totally accurate. Talked to quite a few folks that have hunted the area. Although they have seen a FEW, like 3 or 4, birds, the kills and shots fired are at 0..
"What happened to your call, sounds like crap..." "I think I blew my dip in it again..."

Like my grandmother always used to tell me, "Patience jackass, patience". Ducks around this morning but because I couldn't be a little more patient this morning.....all i get is this hen.....i know i hit that drake but was no were to be found.....on top of that picked up deeks to early.....had a big group of geese come in and then get up as soon as i took a step to get back in the brush. Well, I figure that's why they call it duck huntin'.
