Phinizy Swamp boat access..........

Postby Calibogue » Wed Jan 20, 2010 8:53 am

Any of you figured out how to get a mudboat into the area?
Been eyeballing that nasty swamp for 20 years and DNR says there is no boat access!
He even said you couldn't run it in there b/c of all the logs, etc.........HUH...whatever!

be careful in that swamp. several guys have hunted in there before and didn't make it out.
very dangerous place to hunt due to all the unknowns etc. logs, trees, etc. remote areas

It's just a swamp man and nothing more!
Those that never came out succumbed to such on their own accord, not the swamps!
I do however feel for them and their families and am sorry for the loss of a sportsman regardless of their abilities afield.

Some dude from the DNR told me u can drive a four-wheeler under the gate on the gravel road and launch that way. I'm guessing u need a small jon/canoe for that. hope this helps.

Told me the same thing but the access is for the gravel pit ponds, not the swamp.
Also told me the swamp was too rank for a mud boat....BS!

where is this forbiden water hole you speak of. Just wondering, and don't worry I don't have a boat so I'm not going there, and if you're also that worried about it just pm me, I'm just curious.
