Hunting near Brunswick/Darien

Postby xbreaka » Tue Dec 07, 2010 12:17 pm

Hey there,

I usually frequent the Oklahoma and Massachusetts boards as I am stationed with the army in Oklahoma, and grew up in MA. However my father now lives in the Darien area and I plan on spending Christmas down there.

Anywhoo, what is the waterfowl hunting like in that area, just from google mapping it I can see a ton of marshes and waterways that look prime for blacks/mallards and what not.

Just wondering if its worth me bringing the waders an autoloader along, and even if any of yall are in the area and wouldn't mind hosting a visiting infantryman for a hunt or two.

Thanks

Remman is a good source for that area, I hunt that area as well so shoot a PM to any of the three of us anytime.

Hunted Rhetts yesterday, looks like most of the ducks are gone with that miserable front that came thru riding the north wind to Florida.. Only killed 4 bluewings 1 red head female, 1 merganzer, and 4 ruddy ducks, stayed till 11 to do that. Nothing like last week, maybe we'll get another push of good ducks this week.
