I did manage a new species!!! He slipped in low and quiet and was hovering over the dekes before I noticed him. Took him inside of 15 yards. What a rush!!! I hate hunting solo, but thankfully no one was there to witness my happy dance when I picked him up. Had to pass on 4 more that were completely committed to the LZ. It was awesome!
After a slow start to the season, this was all the motivation I needed to get out of the house at least once more before the split.
