I want to get one of my geese mounted from this season.I live in Atlanta,I looked some up on the internet but I'd rather trust you guys who have a proven bird man than listen to websites of businesses I do not know much.If y'all can help I would appreciate it.

Rodney Casteel is about the best on ducks and geese in my opinion and he would be worth the drive to Macon. The last number I have is:
Rodney Casteel
Phone: (478) 474-0368

I have never had "the birdman" mount a duck for me, but the ones I have seen that he has mounted have been jam up. He isn't local though, so you would have to mail it.

I have heard good things about Fortner and he is close to you. I have not personally seen his work, but I know people swear by him and he has a good reputation.

There are plenty of taxies around, but I can tell you that you usually get what you pay for.

Kevin Batson, Batson Taxidermy does damn good work on birds. He'll do any mount, pose, habitat base, etc. Folks ship him stuff from all over. He's in Bishop, Ga (Oconee Co.), so not too far from you. PM me if you want his contact info.

Yeah the majority of the people recommended to me were a little too expensive and some too far.And the guy I went with was recommended by private message. LOL.
My favorite was the one in Colorado that you mail your birds to and then they mail them back. The guy did impeccable work.He was truly doing something great out there.

Dana Stanford in Roswell, GA is by far the best I have ever seen IMO. I will never use anyone else...EVER.

Mitchell Cann, Wildlife Addictions is also good. He's located in Monroe, Ga. Very reasonable, detailed, and fast.
