Hey casey, thought that I'd give you a reply. I live here in CDA and have only been out twice so far...I was waiting for the cold weaher to hit. It has arrived!

I have been thinking about going out but am now concerned after your message. Lets talk...send me a PM with a phone, I'd like to trade notes.

I tried to get out today, but I didn't make it. My buddy did, but not much was flying. How are the birds up north?

Last week they were awesome! They were everywhere and we got 18... This week there were still tons, but the were grouping up a lot more. I have never seen goldeneyes where we hunt, but this week i saw 3 or 4 flocks of them. I was scouting one day, and if I had a boat i could have shot one, but i would have had no way to retrieve it so i didn't.

Those amounts of bird havent reached us yet, at least not where I hunt at. We need a little bit of wind to pick things up.

Yeah, i have a feeling that they will be leaving here pretty soon, they usually don't stay for too long.

Casey, let me know when they do. In the mean time, I'm going to scout out some new areas.

There are a lot more ducks down in the Southwest than at this time last year. Went to strike the other day and shot 3 greenwing teal, 2 gadwal, and 1 mallard. Can't wait till we get some crappy weather! It will get exciting.
