yay i finally got my deer!

Postby jjohnson_714 » Wed Nov 22, 2006 11:15 am

so after 12 years (yes that is right 12 years  ) i finally got my first deer. i got to my uncle's house and set up in his new treestand. i tried rattling a little bit, and when i was done i heard a little grunt to my right in these thick trees. so i called back to it. we grunted back and fourth for a bit and finally he stepped out into a small meadow on my left and i shot him.

After 12 years.......I can honestly say I would have shot one if it had spots :salude: The whitetail in central Idaho eat great so I assume yours will too. You did drink a cup of blood and fry up some backstraps on the spot didnt ya............you have to appease the hunting gods ya know
