Friday's swan migration

Postby Fsbirdhouse » Sat Nov 09, 2013 6:54 pm

Went with a friend to his Honey Hole in E. Idaho yesterday.
We had an OK duck hunt, although you had to wait for the shots, they did come.
As we waited we began to see the beginning of a pretty good sized swan migration. We noticed how regular the timing of the flocks seemed to be.....about every ten minutes. Big flocks for the most part, giant ones. All except one.
We were surprized when a group of six swans interrupted their travels to pay our little spread a visit.
Four Cygnets and two adults swung in right over our decoys and landed in the pond we were hunting. Stayed maybe 15 minutes.
We got a picture of their arrival.
So the words Fall and Autumn are not to be capitalized?
They are in my world.

Very cool! You can hunt them in parts of Nevada and I was with my buddy when they downed one. Huge birds, cool pic.
