I was on the Bruneau arm tonight ice fishing, six inches ice, caught 55 perch. I could hear birds talking across the far end. Then they start lifting, 50 thousand, then 100 thousand, then it sounded like a plane taking off, waves upon waves of tens of thousands over head. I would guess I saw half a million ducks tonight. It was the most incredible sight I've ever witnessed. Some went up or down river but most headed due south. Utah and Nevada are going to be hot hunting tomorrow.
