I am getting pumped. I teal hunt the Upper Miss every year. I love teal hunting, I will be on the river on Wed and I will let you know what I see for numbers of teal flying around.

I was out goose hunting this morning. While we did not get any geese we did see well over 100 teal during the morning. They were buzzing still at 9:45 when I put the boat on the trailer.

I seen a big bunch of about 45-50 of them today while out dove hunting
Why not shoot all 3 shots, they make more shells everyday.

I was in Coulterville today and saw a couple groups WAY off in the distance that were moving towards the southeast. I don't know the area and I'm a rookie so take it for what its worth.

Lots of em Saturday, had our 12 in just under 13 minutes. 7 of them were greenwings. A little slower this morning, got 8 and all were bluewings.

Not many teal on clear lake, maybe saw 3 bunches and a pair. Needless to say we did not kill any, on a lighter note we had a group of 5 geese come right in and I got a sweet triple. That is one of my first triples on geese, it felt pretty good!

Just spent 3 days at New Boston, Il, on Pool 18 of the Miss. I heard zero shots, ZERO. Saw zero geese or teal.

My son and a couple of his buddies got 6 Saturday morning between lots of missing and got a few more Saturday evening. Monday morning they got a couple but did not see near as many. I worked all weekend but I think we will try them for awhile this morning.

Got checked by a CO out dove hunting yesterday afternoon and he told me he spent the last week checking teal hunters. Said he saw around 150 just driving around looking for hunters and had a family tell him opening morning they killed out. Maybe I need to give it a try again this year.

Cool glad you guy's are stacking them up down south. I've just seen several people shoot 6 birds in the early season and wanted to remind everyone it's a 4 bird limit. Not that it's my place but sometimes those little details slip our minds......

Anyone hunt the Kask for em? Tried it once last year and only had 4 woodies zip in on me. I would assume the Doza area should hold a few, but not sure if you can even hunt it for teal.

Did this help anyone? Is it worth doing the same thing for regular season?

if anything i think it was interesting to hear about how many birds people are seeing. i think it'd be a good idea for regular season
