walk in areas

Someone told me that there are walk-in areas along 57, near Ina? Anyone know about these? Is anything else required besides atleast 1 dozen decoys?

they may have ben refering to the draw area. Which there is a lot of wade stakes there just be shure to ask how much water is at the stake you want. Ive drawn a couple of wade stakes and both times only had shin deep water at best with no duck either. Also the main lake is open to walk in just about any where. Here is a web site with some maps of the main lake.http://www.rendlake.com/

Is there only wading area? Or are there some fields or kind of open dry land areas where someone could do field goose hunting or someting along those lines? I suppose getting using the banks there at Rend shouldn't be too bad though. The last time I was there I don't think the water got to be more than about the top of my hips, so about 4 feet. Is it like that all over? The guy I went with and I weren't too far from the sailboat marina launch.

it does get deep in some places but in general you can wade it BUT becarfull because some places you cant hunt legaly from the bank. Becausealot of the land around that end of the lake is camp ground and if you wade in you are on ground that you cannot hunt. I dont know the law to the letter so ask the region 5 office in benton about the details. there is some fields up by the turnup patch boat ramp and byhonkers point both on the west side north of 154. as for the shallow water the lake is at normal poll. it seems that the water level is low one year and high the next, last year you couldnt hardly wade south of 154. Also the draw has some pits they draw for i think they are in fields on the bonnie side. good luck hope you :hammering: them
