Committed Custom Calls

Postby aunt betty » Tue Nov 27, 2012 1:34 pm

I won the picture contest this year. The prize was two calls from CCC.
I finally got a chance to try the duck call out. The Canada call is going to have to wait because there ain't no Canada geese in Arkansas.

I was hunting a timber blind. Started out using a timber call from RnT.
Then I upped the level a bit and used the Short Barrel. No luck. The ducks were flying high and it was a bit windy so I got out the CCC call and gave it a whirl.

First of all... the people I was hunting with said they had NEVER heard such a loud call. A few seconds later a Pintail landed in our timber hole and IT WAS ON!
Pintail? Timber?
How the? What the?

That call has made me legendary for calling a Pintail into a timber hole.
Thanks Gary.

nice work! Gary's calls are hard to beat for sure. I used his throwback small bore 2 days ago to bring in my 8 year old godson's first mallard, which he promptly dropped with one shot and is getting mounted. Today we were out and limited on geese, one of which was a band that I shot, called in with another CCC. They really are great calls and great to look at. I get a lot of comments from people on how they sound and look.

I bought a CCC this summer used it all season. Great call, fast and tuned well right out of the box.
