Carbondale area Vet Clinic

Postby brownduck » Wed Jan 09, 2013 6:30 pm

Does anyone recommend any vets for gun dogs in the Carbondale area? I am looking for someone practical and straightforward, especially if they regularly work with hunting dogs. Any advice?

i have heard good things about central hospital for animals along rt13. have a buddy that takes his chessies there. i believe the lady vet there raises shorthairs so she prob knows gun dogs fairly well.

Miller Vet in Murphysboro is very good. Lower priced, no bullshit service. I take my dogs there. Closed on Thursdays. Opens at 11am walk-ins welcome.

I would also recommend central hospital. I had a chocolate lab break a leg a few years ago and they done a remarkable job fixing and rehabilitating it.

Thanks for the info. I'll check both places out and see which one I like best.
