I'm in the same boat. It's well over 100 miles for me. When I lived in Springfield and Manito, I hunted Sanganois alot, but haven't even seen the place for 25+ years. If it wasn't so far, I'd come down.

I have hunted there for the last 30 years, almost exclusively the last 20, its unreal how much its changed. The floods of 93 and 95 really did a number on the place and then barkhausen levee situation was bad as well. At least that's been fixed, you don't have to worry about every little rain in the sangamon river drainage flooding the place out constantly. Now if we could just get the state to properly fund the area........ oops, forgot what state we are in!
