Batten down the hatches!

Tie those tents down!!

Watch for flying debris!

Those aren't tent poles, they are lightening rods!!!!!!!!

Wait a minute...

The sky isn't green anymore.

What is this, can it be, is that a patch of Blue over there?

Well, not yet but the winds have abated and people are no longer scurying for cover or hiding in the tents and.....

IT HAS STOPPED RAINING!!!

So, come on down folks - if not today, then tomorrow for sure and enjoy the 19th annual Southern Illinois Hunting and Fishing Days in Carterville!!!

Today, I am out in the tent but will be moving into my regular spot just inside the entrance around 4 PM today. Stop by and shoot the s___ awhile.

The storms of yesterday and this morning have abated and moved on so come on over and enjoy yourselves. There is plenty to do and see still. The goose calling contest is tomorrow and I just saw Tim Grounds walk by and the 40 tornados from yesterday are all gone...

I believe this is correct:

1st Place - Sean Hammock, Edwardsburg, MI - 789 points
2nd Place - Wade Walling, Romeoville, IL - 786 points
3rd Place - Mike Smothers, Marion, IL - 785 points

Congrats to all!

Yeah, I don't know what was going on with the weather there. I just got back myself. I did check out some of the goose calling this afternoon at 12:30. I was pretty impressed with the guys, but I've only been to one competition now. I mostly just checked out the tents while I was there. Picked up a $45 acrylic goose call, which seemed like a deal to me.
