Layout Boats Legal?

Postby luie b » Sat Sep 14, 2013 12:13 pm

Are layout boats legal in Illinois? I'm thinking about getting one but I know it's illegal to hunt from a "sink box" but I don't know if that beavertail final attack is considered a sink box or not because you're not completely underwater...

I hunt a four rivers ebads. its not a sink and is legal. so hunt away must be registered just like any other boat if rated for a motor. If not able to have a motor like a true layout boat then just the new sticker will be needed for kayaks and stuff like that

Thanks, I'm thinking about getting one and slappin a trolling motor on to hunt some areas of the Mississippi because I hunt some of these temp blinds only areas and my kayaks a real pain in the butt to get around in.

Ideally you use it as a layout blind on the banks. Hiding one in open water...futile. Tried.
