Anchoring boat and hunting on the fox river?

Postby xtrema13 » Sun Sep 15, 2013 7:37 pm

I thought none of this was aloud anywhere on the fox. But now I guess they have changed it? Anyone have any info on this?

Thanks

X4

It's been a while since I've heard of laws changing in favor of hunters but I've been wrong before. Would love to hear more!

I hear down by Newark they are allowing it now. I have friends who bought sneak boats and a mud motor and are planning to hunt like this. If anyone has any official word on this it would be appreciated.

Guys up by me do it all the time. Just follow the normal rules (stay away from house). Don't shoot toward houses as they call dnr all the time saying thier house got sprayed.

Well it clearly states you have to be within 10 feet of the sign.

This is one of the cases when I wished a CPO was member of this forum. I know for a fact that there are several stretches of the river that are currently off limits, but it's be nice to see them opening abit of it up. I will see if I can find a CPO and shot him am email.

I'm north. lake county. Mchenry county. We have some fox waterway private blinds up here on the river. any stretch of river between the houses is huntable as long as u stay away from the houses. I don't know the rules south where u guys are

Downstream from the Millington bridge is supposed to be huntable anywhere within safe distances
