I helped my buddy take LP tank out to the lake blind yesterday afternoon . After manhandling that big bast&&& into place , we decided to stick around and see what mite happen in the blustery NNW wind . We ended up with one mallard but saw several hi bunches headn south . Heading out shortly with reinforcements . Maybe , just maybe it'll happen today . Happy Thanksgiving everybody !

Good to hear. Push is amongst us in Northern. Open water is a hot commodity and Canadas are doing their best to keep open what never locked up.

Slow today . We saw one bunch of high little ducks headn south . Waiting on couple other reports but early indications are it was slow all over .

went out to Kankakee SP 11/26. Saw 1 mallard, 12 golden eyes and 6 geese.... very very slow. Was pretty disappointed. I was expecting to see more with all this water supposedly locking up up north. PS weeds are still bad!!

looked at the survey from yesterday for shelbyville. Went from 850 last week to 1550 this week? I am a bit confused by that. they must be using the lake cause the walk ins were frozen solid on sunday and I dont see how it would have thawed this week with bitter ass cold all week. But none the less I will be trying it out this weekend again. Just hope to find some open water.

Open water produced again today for many.

Geese again poured in in strands a mile long. A local 35 acre rectangle field is holding well over a thousand tonight for the third evening in a row. Too bad houses are feet away from them or I would owner chase until I got a definitive "no."

Wish I could find the fields Mallards are hitting. Starting Friday I'm off work for four weeks straight until Central duck ends. We'll get on them.
