Snow goose hunts.

Postby Keny656 » Tue Feb 18, 2014 12:37 pm

Are there any public areas that allow snow goose hunting for spring conservation? I heard that double T you could do it but there is no information on the DNR website to back it up. Can someone verify this for me or maybe point me in the right direction. Not looking for the x to hunt on. Just wanting to do it again and no longer have the private property to do it.

The fact sheet says that it's open as long as the central season is open. Fishing doesn't open until April 1, so I'd think you're good to go...

Wouldn't hurt to call though. May want to confirm that shell limits are (or aren't) in effect as well. Shouldn't be with no limits, but this is Illinois...

Good luck getting someone to answer! May as well try 309-389-3184 too! Hell it's hard enough getting someone to answer during the regular season let alone during conservation season....

You can hunt snows at the Carlyle walk in areas. Use rags.
