Postby KillerKowalski » Tue Mar 04, 2014 6:36 pm

I only got half them. There is equal amount to the right of the picture. About 70-80 total. There was about 30 turkeys in the middle of them too. Wish I would had my DSLR. Gorgeous sight!Image

Didn't you hear? Illinois has no deer anymore according to the DNR... kidding aside I ran into a flock of about 90 turkeys(toms) last weekend on our land. Our property usually holds a big group of turkeys like that during the winter though but that was the biggest group of toms I've ever ran into.

Being fair there isn't any ducks or geese either.

Luie, I did think about you this season. Driving home on I55 there was about 5K Canadas in a snowy field with a eight point buck standing in the middle of the mass.

There's nothing quite like a nice decoy...

That probably was a decoy with a midget armed with a gamo inside of it waiting for the geese to get closer...

Those "sharpshooter" are hand picked crownies. KCFPD started last month with deer "sampling".

I do most of my deer hunting in Missouri and there was definitely a decrease in numbers this year. In the 2012 season, where I hunt, all the guys that came left with a deer. In the 2013 season 3 out of 11 of us got a deer. Blue tongue hit there pretty hard. We found several monstrous dead bucks around a couple of our properties. But it's always nice to see large groups like this.
