Moving in

Postby labcrazy » Tue Apr 08, 2014 8:31 am

Hello all, just wanted to stop by and say "hi". I am moving my family back to Illinois (Northern this time) and I am looking forward to meeting some of you at the boat ramps or at functions.

I am going to be in the Rockford area. I am looking forward to meeting some fellow duck hunters at dinners or the like :hi: . As far as land of competition, I am moving from CT and I have spent the last 5 yrs having to be at the boat ramp by 11PM night before opening just to be sure I can hit my scouted areas. Not a lot of water to open to hunt (unless you have a sea boat) and the farmers tend to slam the doors in your face when you ask if you can set up on their fields. I am originally from the Quad Cities but didn't start hunting until I moved away 22 yrs ago. Cheers everyone !

I am having a hard time understanding the reasoning behind the decision to move to this screwed up state.
Recession-neighbor loses job...Depression-you lose job...Recovery-Obama loses job.

DuckinFool- I've hunted Wisconsin, North Dakota, Arkansas, New York, Connecticut and soon to be Illinois- every state has their problems but if you love to be outdoors, you deal with it.
Sfd714- Good to know some our in the area I'm going to be near. I hope to meet you at a ramp sometime!
