HeyFB. I'm from LaSalle County, and do most of my hunting in the northern part of the state. Welcome...and hope to speak to you soon.

I am from Chicago Heights, going up to Fox Lake area tomorrow..... as crazy as it sounds I am going alone. All my hunting buddies have weddings or their back hurts. A bunch of sissys I tell you. The bitch of it is I have the boat, dog, gear and no one to help me back up to the boat launch. yeee ha that'll be fun.

Thanks GH42. We sucked on the woodies....as they came right in and was to dark or were flying a lil high.
My buddy and I superbly called in a flock of 5 or 6 geese. The wind was just not right for them....so they bid a hastey retreat, hit them with a series of quick comeback calls clucks and murmers.....they swung like kites, passed us by.......did the same thing all over.....they started to set, lock, and then were upset at my buddies spinner. They passed by us at 35 yrds, and I said takem...as that was the last chance we would get.
Man......I'm sure glad my calling is better than my shooting......LOL, cuz he bagged one.....and all I cut was trees and air. :toofunny:
Oh well.....opening day is this Saturday coming up.
This last hunt was on the Fox River........not far from Silver Springs.
We hunt alot of private land near there and Sandwich and up towards Chicago. We also go down State as well. I have some private property near DePue, and along I-39.
