Full Body Mallards

I am looking to add a dozen or two FB Mallard dekes to my spread. Any and all info on the many brands would be very helpful.

Thanks Greg

i use GHG fullbody mallards and really like them. i've had them for two seasons and haven't had any problems with them. Roger's has Hard Core full body mallards right now $50 per 6 but i don't know anything about how the paint holds up on them. i would also reccomend getting a 6 or 12-slot bag for your full body decoys.

Take a look at the Blue Collar Decoys. They are a sponsor to this site, and their products are made in the USA. No, I am not affiliated with them at all, I don't even own their decoys. You said you wanted input. BTW, I own GHG mallard shells and my buddy own a dozen GHG full bodies. These are some of the most realistic decoys I know of.

i have no idea about any full bodies because i hunt over water about 95% of the time but the GHG and Higdon full bodies look pretty good.

I just purchased a dozen of the hard cores
here is some picks
Image

The feeder is a hard core the sentry is GHG

here is a vid of ghg vs hardcore
Image

when i received the hard cores- 2or 3 of the hens had a few paint nicks on top i think because it was poorly package and roughly handle in shipping

comparing the two--- GHG spent more time painting. and the GHG move alot more compared to the hardcores- GHG comes with the stakes that go in the ground and the round mounted stakes that sit on top. hard cores only have the round mounted

ill let you take a look for yourself
if ya need more pics let me know still trying to play with the hardcores to see if i can get some more movement with them

You can make a drake decoy look good with a correct paint scheme. The difference in most duck decoys for me is the way the hens look. I have yet to see a better hen decoy than GHG (mass produced decoy, that is).

Ya im not to worried about the paint i may try to flock the heads if i feel need be.
But what about movement the hardcore from my few tests has way less movement but they do move some any input?
Any ideas on how to try to get more movement out of them?
Im thinking about getting half and half and mix them together. along with the the dozen shells i already have

Just trying to do a little research cause i can get a dozen hard cores and a bag for around 150 shipped from rogers sale right now. cheapest i see ghg is 200 shipped with bag and i only see that every now and then on ebay most run around 235 and need to get a bag

I just got some Hardcore mallards this season. Didn't get to use them a whole lot, but I like them. As far as movement goes, I have heard people say that when there is not much wind just unhook the bungee from the stand. It frees the decoy to move a little more in the light wind. For your windy days just hook the bungee back into place.

Eberhart Decoys are only $100 a dozen, great affordable decoy to add to the spread IMO.

ha,woooowww :fingerhead:
for some reason i thought there was some brand of decoy that made a full body that was cheaper than $100 a dozen but i guess i thought wrong.compared to the prices of all of the other full bodies, that is the best deal lol.
but the price of their floaters is a little bit high for a dozen.

I have ghg floaters in mallards and man can the paint chip but my mallard full bodies have been beaten and thrown on concrete and they still look awesome and the paint is durable. I will be buying the Macks Prairie Wings 12 pack that has 6 feeders and 6 actives+bag for
$199.99...great decoys

you dont need fbs, just buy shells you can get 2x as many and they will all fit nicely in a 12 slot with room for another dz. if you need to buy fbs just get the HC's it doesnt take much to kill ducks in the field anyways usually a spinner and some floaters laid on the land will do. Or you could get some deadly socks they work pretty good as well lots of movement.
