If you want to know where to go the CT dep website has a list of public places for waterfowl. As far as tactics go for field duck hunting in CT I cant give any advice because I've never done it (but I dont think any one else in CT does either). As far as water goes the tips i would give to you would depend on; how will you be getting to these spots? Boat or walking? Do you have a dog? What part of the state do you want to hunt?

I looked into the list of public land, I just don't know which ones are worth while, unfortunately I don't have a boat or a dog so I'm walking for now, and I'm from bristol, but I'm willing to go pretty much anywhere
