Do a search on DHC's honey hole for "plond"

"Plond" with an "l": the DHC abbreviation for "plastic pond".

Another option if you are hunting corn or something similar is to cut strips of plastic and run them in the bottom of the furrows. It's probably a little more natural look as the corn stalks or grass will be "visible" within the "wet" area . It's not as much a pond as a flooded field.

dehydrated water works well and is light in weight to pack in

I don't know why anyone would want to go to the trouble doing this. "Plond" sounds like something designed to separate you from your money.

Over the years I have shot many a duck over a dry field. Find ducks feeding in a field. Hunt it. No fake water needed.

We put a pit blind in a winter wheat field this year and the backhoe operator really messed up the ground around the pit. We have bare dirt all around the pit roof. We have only hunted it once so far, but didn't get a single shot. The geese just kept on cruising by. I was thinking about doing this plond thing around the pit to give it a flooded look. Have any of you ever built on of these? Do they work very well? Any pointers for putting one in? Thanks in advance!

HNTFSH does very well on the Plond. In Ohio to boot.
