Field Hunt Video

Here is a link from our last mallard hunt last year. South Dakota got a huge snow storm this day. There was 2" on the ground by the time we were picking up. You can't tell much in the video but you will see the blowing snow in the pics at the end of the vid. Enjoy!

Thanks for sharing. By far the most enjoyable way to hunt in my opinion. Looks like one of my hunts ...right down to the leftie on the right.

Looks like a good time. Did ya'll just leave the camera on a tripod behind you? Or have someone back there with it? You should try and convince one of your buddies next season to film it up close so you can get some dog work and close ups filmed. Looked like a really great time. We didn't get any snow this past year, kinda disappointing.

Thanks! It was set up about 20 yards behind us sitting on a bag on the ground. Id love to have someone come along to film but its almost torture not to be able to hunt! lol! And anyone that i could ask that doesnt hunt, doesn't want to get up at 3am...lol...I guess we could always take turns filming? It would be nice like you said to get some dog work and close ups included. This next year i think im going to take one of my floater mallards and cut it in half so i can set the camera inside it and have a hole in the breast of the decoy for the lense. this should protect it from the elements and help with some wind noise. maybe even throw a couple hand warmers in there to keep the camera from getting so cold. lol!

Ya switching is probably the only way to go when everyones wanting to shoot. But if all else fails, I'll head up that way! What I'm hoping for next year is to get some good still pictures of my dog working, some ducks coming in would be nice, but I'm probably not quick enough for that to happen.
