corn and bean stubble

does anyone have any idea as to what the height might need to be for the birds to land in the corn and bean stubble? some people tell me that you have to flatten the stubble, and others say that it doesn't matter. what do you think?
just because your not shooting does not mean your not hunting

we found that the birds dont want to land if their wings start hitting the stubble. if it is to high we either take sickle or trucks and cut it down. or you could just find another field
