Question about field hunting

Ive never field hunting ducks bu ti was wondering if there is anything special to a field that makes it good to duck hunt. Im just takling about regular cut corn fields. Like if u have field that you know you can hunt, how do you know one is good to duck hunt?

Location is key. Must be somewhat close to birds and or a holding area. Check the field multiple times a week at different hours usually mornings or evenings. If and or when you see birds it will be a good field to hunt.

Flip side if you are close to a holding area, you may never see a bird in the field but you may be successful running traffic.
