got a lease in Arkansas next year and have pit but i would like to switch it up a bit. Have any of you hunted over them in Arkansas and if so do you have any tips

i MIGHT BE ABLE TO HELP YA A LITTLE BIT,dON'T STOMP YOUR LEVEES DOWN WALKING IN AND OUT TO YOUR PIT,ROLL THE TOP OFF YOUR CATTLE PANELS SO YOU DON'T HAVE STRAIGHT EDGES WHEN YOU BRUSH YOUR PIT UP AND BRING HAY BALES OUT AROUND YOUR BLIND EVERY 3 WEEKS OR SO AS THE SEASON GOES ON COLORS CHANGE AND RICE STRAW DIES AND THINS OUT GOOD LUCK,HAVE A GOOD SEASON

Camo the pit and adjacent area as well as possible. you can't over conceal. Use colors and materials indigenous to area so it looks natural. Keep as much of pit top covered while you're hunting and only have caller looking at birds to minimize movement.

Don't get too greedy trying to get them in super tight. Often the second or third pass is the best you'll get...watch the birds closely and change your spread and opening each day according to the wind direction.
