is there any little trick out there to make your floaters stand up higher in the field so that the ducks can see them? i noticed myself that they are kinda hard to see when in the corn field. thanks guys
i cut the keels of a doz flambeau mallards and took a hole saw and drilled a 3inch circle in the middle of the decoy then took a 1/4 inch drill bit and drilled a hole in the top were the decoy ballanced level and then u can insert a ghg motion stake. seem to work as well as anybodys full bodys.
If there water keel, drill a hole in the bottom of the keel and drill a hole in it without hitting the decoy body. Then find a dowel or pole to put in it that is just small enough to fit snug. I use that and it works pretty well and I can use them as water decoys or field.
