New to field duck hunting. Is later in the season better? I assume it would be when the ponds and puddles freeze over...or is it when the farmers start cutting? Morning or evening? I also heard busting up some freshly frozen water holes help? Does a dog flare birds in the field? Anything helps

Cheers
