BP Accountability over Gulf Oil Spill

The Oil Spill Isn’t Over Yet

Hunters and Anglers Demand Accountability

Dear Bill,

Hunters and anglers know the effects of the oil spill will be with us for a long time to come.

More than two years after the Deepwater Horizon rig exploded, BP has still not paid the fines it owes for the disaster. And recent media reports indicate that BP could be trying to settle for less than half of what the company could face if brought to trial.

Click here to ask the Department of Justice to hold BP accountable for the spill!

Hurricane Isaac washed up over half a million pounds of oiled material from the spill. And some wetlands and barrier islands remain heavily oiled to this day, compounding the Mississippi River Delta's longstanding erosion problems that cause an average of a football field of marsh to vanish into the Gulf every hour.

A recent poll by the National Wildlife Federation found that more than three-quarters of America’s sportsmen and women believe BP should be held accountable for the 2010 Gulf oil disaster and fined the maximum amount allowed.

The Department of Justice needs to hear from America's hunters and anglers!

As sportsman or woman, you can make a difference for the Gulf today.

Thanks for all you do to protect our nation’s hunting and fishing heritage.

Onward and upward,

Land Tawney
