We ask that All Waterfowlers Support a Teal Only Season Structure for the South zone and present Mo. Valley Zone.
This will increase early season hunting opportunities from what they presently are and allow both zones to utilize their split to eliminate a duck poor period or the stale duck period. Even if you just use the split to give the ducks a few days break from hunting pressure it will greatly benefit duck hunters and improve hunting.
We ask everyone Right now to E-mail the director of the IDNR and our bureau chief of fish and wildlife Dale Garner and request the above option be a proposal that is presented the the USFWS & the Flyway council for consideration and discussion.
( email@example.com & Dale.Garner@dnr.iowa.gov ) NRC contact ( Greg.Drees@dnr.iowa.gov )
We would like to see the IDNR request from the USFWS and the Mississippi Flyway council a teal Only season structure for the present south zone and Mo. River Valley zone.
Make sure you do this Today and get your word in before the discussion process starts. At least we might be able to float another option on the table for the council & USFWS to consider.
We will never know what the response will be if we do not 1st ask and present the option for discussion.
I am serious when I say this debate issue is on our door step,Send your comments to the NRC member as well to advise him of your thoughts, ideas and opinions to the matter.
Since you haven't been asked, I am asking you and the rest is up to you to engage the issue. Good Luck and God bless folks
