Pheasant number's looking up, season nearing

Postby duckdog » Mon Oct 10, 2005 10:02 pm

Ahh pertty soon there will be a sea of blaze oarnge walking across Iowa, the pheasant opener is coming up soon. The number's are looking great, with the mild winter's we have been having, and the good nesting condition's, number's are up 16 percent in NW Iowa. I plan on hunting duck's all day on the opening of pheasant season. With all the people walking around the sluogh's, and lake's shooting all day, it keep's the duck's flying around pertty good all day long. I like to wait till after thanksgiving to go after the ditch chickens, not as many people around then. Good luck to all, and be safe. Plus Youth pheasant season open's up on Oct. 22, and 23, don't forget to take the youngen's out!!!
