Stealth 1200 ??

Postby cyoung24 » Thu Oct 13, 2011 8:32 pm

I'm thinking about buying a stealth 1200 boat. I want to use it as a layout boat. Just wanting to know if anybody else has one and used it as a layout boat. Just looking for some ideas and opinions on the boat. Thanks.

If you want a layout boat, wait till you can get what you are looking for. If the economy continues in the direction its headed, there will be plenty of them for sale.

The thing is i can get one for over half the price of a 4 rivers or momarsh now and get a 4 rivers in acouple of years and pass the stealth on to my son, when he is old enough.

Take it from a guy with alot of experience with buying something cheap to make it work then trading up. Its cheaper to do things right the first time in the long run. If price is an issue, get some plans from dozer and try building one.

Been several pop up on craigslist KC lately

The main problem with a stealth is it is hard to lay down in. I have a phantom that otter outdoors makes. It only weighs 70 lbs. It is made to lay down in when hunting. It is very stable I can stand in it without tipping it. It will hold up to 300 lbs of gear but tight. The biggest down fall is that it is not rated for any motor of any kind. I love mine, the ducks and geese have no idea you are there.
