Patterning

Postby canards02 » Mon Oct 17, 2011 10:27 am

Hey guys I am new to the chat, I really need to pattern my gun and I was wondering if any of you know if you can legally pattern your gun on public land, I don't have any land of my own and they won't let me pattern steel at the local shooting park.

Thanks in advance

the best thing to do would be to get a hold of your local conservation officer and talk to him about where you might be able to do that legally

If you live in the eastern part of KS, Platte City, Missouri has a public shotgun range that I pattern my guns at for free.

Target shooting on almost all public land is prohibited I believe. The safest bet would be to talk to your local conservation officer but I'm pretty sure you aren't allowed to.

yeah, i went to Powder Creek but they won't allow steel and it seems pointless to use a different load than what i will be shooting, and I even went to the bullet hole, but its a short range and expensive.
