I think that is a good Idea  but how would it work? Would it be like the goose hunt or what?

LOL I dont think so. I have a few ideas how to work it, but it depends on how many people are interested and what part of ks they are in. If we do it in KC we could include the MO thread if we wanted.

Depends on how serious we get about this we could have boater and non boaters. Or something along the lines of that.

I would love to boat, but don't think the duck boat with a trolling motor on it will make it on a KS lake in the summer. I would still be interested in a fishing trip though! I can catch as many fish from the bank!

We can figure something out. We just need to get people interested. Maybe Top five boaters and non boaters win something?

Just need to try and plan a date maybe and hopefully I can ask off work for that day. Did you happen to ask any of the MO guys? I would be fine fishing boat or shore. I will try and help out with whatever I can.

I was thinking about asking the mo guys also, but if we do that we will probably need to do something around the KC area then. I was waiting to see where most of the people that were interested were located. I will post something over there.

Its not pretty but I do have a 17' boat that can I can use. I say bring what ever you got. 12' and a trolling motor maybe a little small though. But we can figure it out. Come on guys we can get this together. How about sometime in May? June? I can probably get a friend of mine to bring his boat out.

I'm thinking sometime in May, should work great for me. I pretty much have every weekend day in May off, so that would work for me. First year wedding anniversary on the weekend of the 7th, wife probably wouldn't like that too much, but any other time should work just fine. I know my dad has a fishing boat, might be able to get a hold of it, can fit 2-3 in it. Whatever works easier for everyone else.

Yeah, it's looking that way! I know there has to be more hunters that love to fish during the off season? Maybe if we say Beer will be served, will that help? :salude: :salude: :salude: Well, I guess we can keep trying and see if anyone wants in.

I just posted it in th MO forum also. I do have a friend that runs a liquior store. Maybe that would help. I don't know what the lake rangers would say about it though. If we have it in kc theres a pretty good lake about 10 to 15 minutes away. I could always have a little bbq afterwards. I can gaurantee that there will be beer there!!!

I lived in Warrensburg and KC for a couple of years. What lake are you talking about? I think that will get some people, hear about food and refreshments hopefully?

Yeah, that is what I figured. Never have fished either, but both lakes I hear are pretty good. Man, I'm already to go fishing now.

I dont really fish lacyne much so I am not too familar with the boat ramps and such. But I know at hillsdale they have a few free boat ramps that have I think free parking also. They are really easy to get to and dont get much traffic. We could pretty much take over the entire ramp and parking lot. There is no boat dock but there is plenty of shoreline to beach the boats. This is all based on if we were going to do it in KC. I have been to Cheny down in wichita. That was a pretty nice lake. There is also eldarado. I am pretty much open to what ever. We just need to get some people reved up about this

Yeah, I fished Cheney for the first time last year and did okay. Hard to fish during the summer since it's always so windy out here. Have fished El Dorado in the upper lake portion and have done well. I'm used to going to Milford, that's my favorite lake around. I agree, I would be open to go to any lake around is fine by me. Just need to get some other people wanting to do this.

I have probably 4 guys right now that are interested. They are in kc. What we could do is have one in kc and wichita and who places high in each place then could have one big one

Yeah, sounds like a great idea to me. I think I should be able to get a few guys rounded up around here. I would have no problem heading up that way to do some fishing. I say we plan on doing it up in KC at least and see if we can't get some of these central KS boys wanting in on something around wichita, or wherever. I do have a MO fishing license as well if we decide to do it in MO.

Guys,
I like what you are planning. I will be on the lake everyweekend once the walleye and Crappie get going. Once you guys finalize things a little more if I can make it, I'll bring the fish fryer for the after party. :salude:

I agree, I was getting a little worried to. My only other concern (a friend brought this up) is that simce memorial day is in may that wew might want to consider moving it to june to allow for more people to be able to participate
