i love dove hunting! except the numbers seem to be down the past couple years.

Ya, only when a couple of times last year to warm up the dogs for duck season. Hunt around Lawrence area because going to school there. Always looking for new places to hunt.

guys it looks like a good hatch this year from the numbers I have seen around the area. they make for a great warm up ,before teal season and the duck season. get ready its not that far off .umm doves an noddles .good eats.......bacon wrapped on a stick on the grill. cant wait. Im off to dig around in the freezer :salude:

Never been, hope to go this year. Thought about it last year but it was too dang hot.

Yeah, it does make for some warm, usually hot weather hunting. I did shoot two last year but then ended up not finding them in the thick milo. Oh well, maybe my luck will change this year.

Hot temps are the only way to hunt them. Normally the are out of here on the first cold front of Sept/late Aug. I have had several weekends where we shoot limits on Friday and then a cold front with rain comes in on Saturday and we don't shoot 1/3 of the doves the rest of the year on the same spots.

i think me and my frind shot 2 dove and used half of one big box but the thing is we get out there and get 2 or 1 right of the bat and say oya were shooting good to day than dont hit nothing the rest of the day and put out decoys you can buy tham at wal-malt in the afternoon in a dead tree or on tely phone poles on the lines but that my take up a litter line cant freaken stay stell with out no hunting come on duck season i see a lot of geese stell to i think thay nest over here and wood ducks too but i dont no
